Tara M. Orio became Senior Vice President of Membership and Member Engagement at The Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce (GPCC) in July 2015. As an advocate for regional development, the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce is dedicated to supporting and encouraging the continued growth of each of our approximately 4,000 member companies together with the regional business community.
As Senior Vice President, Tara is responsible for the sponsorship budget of over 150 events annually, as well as membership recruitment and retention of the members in the GPCC.
Tara’s previous work at the Chamber includes serving as a Partnership Marketing Manager where she worked to engage members in her book of business. Tara oversaw the GPCC’s On the Move (OTM) Campaign, an 11-week fundraising campaign. The campaign raised more than $1.1 million dollars the first year and $1.6 million dollars the second year.
Tara is a supporter of Adoptions from the Heart and Child Abuse Prevention Effort.
Tara is a graduate of Drexel University, with a Bachelor of Science in 1996.
Tara lives in Havertown, Pennsylvania with her husband and three sons, Lukas, 13, Bennett, 9 and Harrison, 4.
